So.
I'm back.
I know what you're thinking. "She's crazy. She'll just abandon her blog again after a year."
That won't happen.
Okay. Maybe I'm lying. Maybe life will catch up to me and I'll forget all about blogging.
However, this past summer I interned at the Conservators' Center and my intern project was communications. As a result of this, I blogged about my experiences. I hope that because of that my love of blogging and sharing information with others has been rekindled.
So I'm going to try again.
I felt that since I'm turning 22 this month, and starting a new, scary chapter of my life (graduate school... who would've thunk it?) I should also change things about myself.
Last month, I set a goal to run a half marathon next April. Training is going well, and barring any injuries or setbacks, I should be able to navigate the course. I won't be the fastest person, but I hope I won't walk half the race!
I've also discovered that my stomach and mouth no longer likes the fare I ate as an undergrad, so I've been trying to adjust what I've been eating. I've been cutting out a ton of sugar (yogurt pretzels is my vice though...) and eating a lot more fruits and vegetables. I'm feeling much better and a lot more alert, so that's a yay!
Tonight for dinner, I made salad for myself. I actually had some leftover salad from last night so I grabbed that out of the refrigerator. It was basically Romaine lettuce with some cucumbers, a random piece of chicken that I forgot to take out last night, and some croutons. I added in a quarter of an avocado and some "fresher" (read: not soggy) croutons from my pantry, then finished it off with a dash of lemon herb vinaigrette. Can you say YUM???
For dinner, Joe cooked some pieces of chicken with a ton of garlic (what can I say? I love garlic) and melted some fresh mozzarella over the chicken. It was a delicious dinner.
For dessert we decided to treat ourselves and enjoyed some fruit dipped in melted chocolate. Ugh, yum.
So, uh, that's my first post for this blog. It will get more interesting. Maybe. :)
What do you think? Are there things that you want to see on this blog? Anything you want me to discuss? Feel free to comment!
